About This File

IGC File Encrypt

Encrypts your client-side scripts so players can't read, edit or copy your source. Drag & drop single files or whole folders - the entire batch is processed in one pass.

What it does

  • Standard — Lua → .lsc, XML → .xdc. No key: the client reads these at start-up, before the server has sent it anything, so they cannot carry one.
  • Lua UI → .usc — user-scripts locked with your own 32-character key (requires the LuaUI Extension); the client loads them only if its key matches.
  • Custom maps → .gsc, and terrain as .xtt / .xap / .xbj — map and monster scripts, and a world's terrain files, locked with your own 32-character key (requires the Custom Maps & Monsters plugin). Packing the terrain is optional.
  • Map number — rewrites the world number inside .att, .map and .obj so a copied world loads under its new one. No key and no packing; the original is kept as .bak.

Requirements

  • Windows 64-bit (Windows 7 or later).
  • .NET 8 Desktop Runtime (x64) — get from Microsoft; the tool won't start without it.
  • Licensed machine — machine-locked, runs only where activated.

Good to know

  • Encryption is one-way — there is no decryptor, so always keep your original files.
